HUSHconcerts and blasthaus proudly present a few of the most esteemed names in progressive dance music on one stage. On Saturday, April 30, RICHARD DORFMEISTER will play an exclusive DJ set at Public Works, with legendary world-fusion producers NICKODEMUS and J-BOOGIE. The rich musical history of the Mission district will come alive as the acid jazz in which it birthed returns.

Dorfmeister is best known for his expert production work with two of electronic music’s seminal acts KRUDER & DORFMEISTER and TOSCA. Over the past three decades he has created some of the most beautiful, danceable, and need we say “musical”, dance music of all time. Along the way he has earned a reputation for integrity, professionalism and expertise rarely matched in the field.

With the skill and musical prowess to match, Nick DiSimone, aka Nickodemus is the perfect compliment to Dormeister. A founder of New York City’s seminal Turntables on the Hudson events, and Wonderwheel recordings, Nickodemus has put out some of the finest world-infused dance music of all time. The two artists will play extended sets on April 30 on Public Works’ exquisitely tuned Funktion 1 sound system.
