KARSH KALE is a musical butterfly and a cultural chameleon. American born to Indian parents in New York City, he is a cultural trailblazer for the post-nationalist world of shared ideas, instruments, rhythms, technologies, and smiles. His storied career has seen him play drums, guitar, turntables, vocals, and (the instrument with which he is most associated) tablas, with the likes of Chaka Khan, Afrika Bambaataa, Lenny Kravitz, Paul Oakenfold, Pharoah Sanders, DJ Spooky, and Bill Laswell. He will join us for a rare Bay Area performance with his live band joined by fellow Indian American trailblazer Janaka Selekta with his live-electronic project.
Tickets for this unique all-ages engagement are sure to go quickly so get them in advance at www.HUSHconcerts.com.
