New Orleans Suspects

HUSHconcerts is proud to present an esteemed assemblage of topnotch Bayou-bred music ninjas, the NEW ORLEANS SUSPECTS. Built around the world-renowned drumming skills of (Neville Brother) Mean Willie Green, the suspects are a funk force and a rock rampage. Reggie Scanlan is best known for his decades of work with the New Orleans Radiators, but also paid dues with legends James Booker and Professor Longhair. Jeff Watkins served as James Brown’s final bandleader as well as extensive touring with Joss Stone. Grammy winning engineer Jake Eckert toured extensively with Dirty Dozen Brass Band and CR Gruver was a longtime companion of Leo Nocentelli and a member of Outformation. This Bayou-funk supergroup will take the stage at Slims on Friday, April 15 along with the Bay Area’s own BRASS MAFIA and HARRY DUNCAN in support.
