Company Bio for Event: PPP Americas is the most important event in Latin America and the Caribbean on public-private partnerships (PPP). Held every two years in member countries, it has established itself as a strategic space for dialogue and the promotion of sustainable projects between the public and private sectors.
The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Peru (MEF) and ProInversión, presents this 12th edition of PPP Americas, which will take place in Lima, Peru, from April 8 to 10, 2025. This event brings together government leaders, investors, and international experts to discuss the main challenges and opportunities in the region.

Silent Conference facilitated a multi theater, multilanguage translation solution for the 1200 attendees at this conference. Silent Conference provided 8 channels programmed on our headphones, so that each theater could feature a FLOOR channel, SPANISH, ENGLISH, and PORTUGUESE. Multilingual attendees simply listened to the floor channel, whereas those with a specific language preference could switch to their color, theater, or language.

How were your services used?

What challenges were solved?
There were several challenges on the event. The first being the basic complexity of working for the first time in a new foreign country. The language barrier could have been a challenge, but between our SC Tech’s Spanish proficiency, and the local staff’s English this was overcome. A bigger challenge was local DTV RF signals that made tuning a programming difficult. However this was solved after setup day. Also, acquiring some basic items like extra cables and connectors was a bit of a challenge, but overcome with local assistance.
How big was the attendance at the event?
1,200 attendees were present at the event.
What were the best parts about the event?
It was extremely gratifying to work with an outstanding AV company in a new country. The RLA team was as adept as any we have worked with in the USA. It was also wonderful to overcome so many basic event and logistical challenges to produce a flawless event. Finally, our HUSHconcerts team enjoyed working with the team at IDB Bank, who were solution-oriented at every turn.

To the attendee, it could not have been simpler. The headphones were ready on chairs when they put them on, tuned to their correct theater and language and then let themselves be subsumed by the flow of the show.
