Television also came to play at weekend one. Daniel Radcliffe hosted a brunch for his new TBS television program, Miracle Workers. Vogue’s Breathless columnist Karley Sciortino joined executive producer Steven Soderbergh and director Gregg Araki at a Vanity Fair–hosted silent disco to celebrate the Starz show she’s penned, Now Apocalypse. As for why they brought the show to the film festival, Sciortino noted that “Gregg is a longtime Sundance darling. He’s also a pioneer of queer cinema.” Araki added that “this TV show is a combination of everything I’ve ever done. It kind of has to play here. It’s the perfect landscape for its sensibilities.”
