While the Silent Disco comcept seems to have found a mainstream following, our HUSHcasts take them so much further. Why put on headphones to dance in a CLUB, when you can use them to experience uncommon locations. Our upcoming HUSHcasts atOCEAN BEACH (This Saturday), THE PANHANDLE, (Next Saturday, June 11) SPIRIT FORWARD at the CHAPEL (Sunday, July 3) and SANTA CRUZ (Saturday, July 9) aren’t just outdoor concerts, they’re statements of what CAN be done with a bit of gumption.
CYMANDE & THE BUDOS BAND @ THE REGENCY THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 5: Why JUST present a once in a lifetime performance by a UK funk legend like CYMANDE, when you could combine them with a newschool funk legend like THE BUDOS BAND at a historic theatre. HUSHFEST: OCEAN BEACH, THIS SATURDAY, JUNE 4: On June 4th we bring back our signature bi-annual event, HUSHfest: Ocean Beach. This one-of-a-kind, solar-powered, headphone-only, art car staged, three channel, all ages, kid-friendly concert typically brings over two-thousand people to one of San Francisco’s most scenic places, Kelly’s Cove. We present one of the most exciting producers in electronic music, Dirtybird Records‘ J.PHLIP. Joined on the up tempo channel by local heroes W.HAZE (Space Cowboy Zach Moore’s house persona), SEPEHR, RACHEL TORRO, and GRENSTA. Our down tempo channel will drip with the funk, in this case, Canadian phenom DEFUNK. He will be joined by SoCal star ORPHIC, and two of the Bay’s funkiest beat slingers, MANCUB and MOTION POTION. HUSHFEST: THE PANHANDLE: Saturday, June 11: For the first time in 2 years, HUSHconcerts is proud to return to the historic Panhandle of Golden Gate Park for a signature HUSHcast silent disco. For this unique, intimate affair we present Canadian superstar JPOD “the Beat Chef”, a man whose productions seem to drip with sunshine. He will be joined by a swath of SF DJs who have deep roots in the Haight Ashbury. The old days of Nickie’s BBQ will be represented by MOTION POTION, DJ PAUSE, DJ PHLECK and TOM THUMP. Added to this will be Space Cowboy DJ MANCUB, disco producer SHOUTS! and eclectic beat smiths SEX PIXELS. HUSHfest: SANTA CRUZ LIGHTHOUSE, Saturday, July 9: HUSHconcerts and Euphoric Styles are proud to present the third annual HUSHfest: Santa Cruz Lighthouse on Saturday July 9th. This epic location will be the backdrop for an incredible afternoon of music from some of the finest producers in the Bay Area and beyond. Dirty Bird Records phenom ARDALAN will headline the show with an extended closing set of his patented bass house. Santa Cruz stalwarts LABRAT, SMASHELTOOTH, and ANDREW THE PIRATE will hold down one channel with their delicious mid tempo beats. On the other channel, Bay Area funk aficionado MOTION POTION conjure soulful sunshine and Chuck Jones will rep NVO with a DJ set of their incredible organic house music.
